I have heard a number of sub-stories of Mahabharata and Ramayana from my grandmother and watched few movies based on these epics. These stories were fascinating but learnings from these stories and movies were in bits and pieces. The only thing I needed was putting it all together, in a simple, regular story book like this one. This book does just that.

C. Rajagopalachari, the learned man that he was, has done a commendable job in putting this complex epic in a story for beginners.

For those who know only the gist of Mahabharata and want to know many more details of each character, this book is a good start. It contains a lot of anecdotes, moral stories and a lot many sub-stories / incidents, that the reader might be unaware of.

Overall, a great book for those who are looking at an overall story of the epic in simple language.
